I had to look up the specs for your skid steer, but I have a similar sized Bobcat, with the same flow rate. From my experience, you could likely run the loader just above idle, maybe 800 RPM or so, and have more power and speed than 80% of small gas engine splitters. Heres my biggest problem. I store my skid on the trailer. So it goes like this. Empty the dump. Hook up the trailer. Tske the skid off. Dig out the attachment from the back of the yard. Load it on. Load the skid back on the trailer. Go to job. Dig for 30 mins. Do it all over again. Or Grab a shovel/ rent a mini Just bought one. Oakes mfg. oakes north dakota. 16 hp onan twin. 2 belt driven hydraulic pumps. about 1750 lbs. with bucket. I am having a hard time finding information on this skid steer. any info you have would be appreciated. I did get an owners manual with it but it is at my brothers house hope this helps Thanks Gary

As 2109 Stang said, the 1845C was a great skid steer, partially because it was equipped with a huge engine that didn't have to work hard. Case used the same engine to power the full size backhoe loader. What is the normal lift capacity of a skid steer? Would be it be enough to lift most logs onto a live deck? I'm looking at a Case 1825 which is selling for 00. The specs are saying 885lbs of lift which I find a bit low? We have two Bobcat models at work and I've used the pallet tines to lift close to 2000lbs before.
About 3 years later,I saw a similar Case skid steer, at a guys auto & truck sales shop--it was a bigger machine, and had a 4 cylinder diesel engine--which had tossed a rod through the block, and had been crudely patched after they put it together, and the guy had bought it not knowing that had happened,it was not readily visible unless you really . I am thinking of buying a used, wheeled skid steer.Bobcat, Cat etc for personal snow removal, something under K and under 2500 hrs. I'm in Massachusetts and it probably would get less than 20 hours a year use.would be kept indoors in a heated garage. I'm 71 yo and feeling that my best shoveling and snow blowing days are behind me.
