I have a new to me 2014 Bobcat S550 skid steer. Hand/foot controls, 2000 ish hours and in good overall condition. Problem is when parked on a slope it creeps down hill, forward or reverse doesnt matter.
You can check the rear axles by putting the bucket under something that will raise the rear of unit, just try to move the wheels up and down to check brgs. The unit will only jump a chain if it has a load on it, typically turning and going into a pile. Driving down road puts little load on the chains.
