Some of the older Bobcats (mid-2000s and back) are 5k lbs and less, couple that with a car hauler trailer and you've got a rig that's pretty easy to tow with a half ton truck. I've got a 90s Bobcat . Doesn't mean you'll automatically be safe and you wont need to know how to drive while towing that kind of load but if your not a total spaz you'll be fine. Just use common . As long as you don't exceed the towing specs for your truck you will be fine. Most 1/2 tons are around 7500lbs tow weight, that's the trailer with load. That being said, it would need to be no larger than a Bobcat S100 or similar skid steer.
