I've got an IHI 80 mini excavator that I'm rebushing and have a lot of wear in the boom at the boom to stick area. After taking it apart the bushings in the stick were not pressed in very tight and came out pretty easy. As excavators get older the constant use means that regularly wearing parts such as the pins and bushings start to wear out. These are replaceable wearing parts and the following article gives some advice around some of the challenges around replacing them.

Both the bucket and tipping links have some wear, but the most noticeable is the very end of the dipper stick, where the main pin goes through the thumb, quick connect and the arm.
