It’s possible that he has some Manx ancestry, but, the lack of a tail isn’t enough to prove Manx ancestry, because that can occur as a result of a random mutation as well.
When I got Darla home I looked up 'Desert Lynx' up online and it seed at the time like it was a new breed, including a Bobcat but also bred with Maine Coons and a couple other breeds. 4 years later when I now look it up there is some confusion with the 'Highland Lynx'. The patterns on his ears and face are reminiscent of a bobcat. The vet said he is probably eight months old (the pictures below show him at six months) but he is much smaller than my roommates cat who is the same age. I'm wondering if this is because he was a stray or if he is growing slowly like large cat breeds do.
