john deere 260 skid steer park brake solenoid I have an early 260 skid steer, bought used with 4000 hrs. The parking brake never did work, well finally got around to getting a manual in CD format. I have tested the solenoid and the switch both test ok. Next is pages of circuits and wiring. I mean you know this. But those 25k machines are legit machines. Ive kicked around the idea of a Chinese mini excavator or skid. But for that amount of money you are running the risk of buying a 5k paper weight. They are 13hp machines I think. That is so crazy underpowered. I get not wanting to spend the money. I'm a cheap ass too.

My 2000 260 skid steer parking brake won't release and the boom won't raise. . You won't have any power to the brake solenoid until the keys on, seat switch .

My 250 won't let the park brake disconnect. Have checked all switchs. My 8200 this afternoon would shift itself to nuetral then to park and threw codes PCU 24 and PCU 56. So I went to Deere and got a new parking brake silenoid (sp?). It doesn't look quite like I remembered. Has anyone changed one of these? Where's it located on the tractor? Will I need any special tools (allen or star bits, etc.)? The tractor is .
