Thomas is the only company who is smart enough to use a open loop hydraulic system, meaning all the oil goes straight to the tank after it comes out of any cylinder or attachment, excavator style, they operate very cool in the summer and they are very quiet, Thomas scores very high in my books for that set up, I wish everyone else would do the same.
As far as not finding filters, the last I knew Thomas uses the same darn engines (Kubota) and hydraulic components that Bobcat, and most other manufacturers for that matter, do. Your guys were just being lazy. Don't have any personal experience with Thomas, but do have a lot of seat time on a pair of Bob 743's. Bottomline: not overly impressed. Thomas Skidsteer opinion. I recently came across a Thomas 245 Turbo that has about 87 horse (kubota v3300), 2400lb lift, and should run about 20gpm which I think would be plenty for a heavy duty brush cutter. Tires are already foamed.

My dad never kept a skid steer any longer than 2000 hrs, all the hours were babied. His old ('91 & '92) Komatsu PC-60 excavators are heading towards 8500 and 9200 hrs and the only problems are the odd busted hydraulic line or leaky seal, but the buckets are self leveling, all bushings are worn out. Have owned 3 Thomas skidsteers, t95, t133 and still own as a second shop unit a t153. NEVER HAD PROBLEMS with them, in fact the 153 has 2000 TROUBLE FREE hours on it , too late now obviously, but they are fantastic, reliable units. I had a 9md2 bradco backhoe attachment for my thomas skidsteer. What I can tell you is the bradco are built like no other. Make sure you have a good size skidsteer or you will be dragging yourself everytime you try to dig with one. The one I had was very difficult to attach, unless lined up perfectly. New holland built deeres skid steers. Awe, the old resale value comment! Spend k more on a new machine to make k more at resale!

I have a thomas 25G mini skid steer I believe its a 02 but there is not guarentee on that. The unit has 546 hours on it. I bought it with 273 hours on it and at 275 hours I had to put a brand new motor on it. It runs and works great. 3 of the tires were new with in the last year.
