I have a Gehl 4625 SX. We replaced several solenoids that open and shut off .
At this point it won't turn over. The starter clicks but nothing. I took the starter out . I have a Gehl 4635SX skid steer that won't turn over. Brand new battery. starter .

Started and worked just fine yesterday, parked it and won’t start today. Lights all work and don’t . If you can go forward or backward, the pumps are working fine, especially if you . Pull the glow plugs out of all 4 cylinders. Then use a wrench, socket or what ever and turn it over clockwise from the back end, side with the timing belt. If it turns over easy then try it with the starter. Try that and see what happens. EPU has the Deutz manual 5 or 6 pages on the proper way to set the timing.

Now I listen to hear it snap open, if it doesn't, then turn the key to the on position and open the engine compartment and manually push the solenoid to the open position. At this point it won't turn over. The starter clicks but nothing. I took the starter out and verified that it was turning. I removed the radiator and took off the fan blade and put a ratchet/socket and breaker bar on the large bolt holding on the bottom pulley. I couldn't get it to turn at all. The fan does turn by hand. It can't be the oil pressure switch as there will be no pressure till its started. Same with the seat bar or seat switch. They generally lock you out, not shut the engine down... The only other thing i can think of is a relay or wire/connector back from the switch to the starter. Started and worked just fine yesterday, parked it and won’t start today. Lights all work and don’t dim when key is turned. Don’t have a battery charger but it is a marine battery, I do have a battery charger and charged the battery and tried it and nothing. If you can go forward or backward, the pumps are working fine, especially if you can push a load, like loading a bucket full of material.
