Anyone know of an online guide to Bobcat-brand skidsteer loader models and .And of the world’s first skid-steer loader, the M400, there were 200 built from 1960 to 1962. . When I was a bobcat salesman I tried to maintain a specific margin, but there was a minimum margin that the salesmanager would drop to, and that was our "final offer" to the customer. a dealer needs to maintain a specific margin to support the machines he sells, operate his store (pay commissions, pay rent, etc.) A user asks for advice on which skid steer brands to avoid when buying a used one for k or less. Other users share their experiences and opinions on various brands, such as ASV, Bobcat, Kubota, and Deere.
Re: Bobcat 963 skid steer loader I spoke with the owner of the Bobcat dealership today. Apparently the info I got about an adapter for the 963 was incorrect. It was a no-go, the skid steer had to come out in reverse, wouldn't make it up the hill forward, just started bouncing and trying to tip backwards. I sold the skid steer and rented a bx25 to get the job done.
The bobcat had to be ran at nearly WOT to make any HP where the Case would spin all 4 tires at an idle. It took some getting used to but the first pool I saved 2 hrs on and more on the next few. I would dig a hole 3' 6" deep X 26' wide X 46' long with the case in 6 hours, the Bobcat would do the same in 4. i have a 773 bobcat skid steer. recently started making terrible smoke from exhaust. smells aweful. and loss of power. checked all fluid levels. all are cleen and full. it has a turbo as well. any one have any ideas? it smells like unburnt fuel. some people same turbo could be the issue. HELP!!!! The original "Bobcat" was founded by the Melroe brothers; hence, Melroe was the "owner" of the Bobcat skid steer. Clark bought the Melroe Company a while ago (1969), but was later itself bought by IR (Ingersoll-Rand) who now owns the company (simply named "Bobcat" -- the name of "Melroe" was dropped in 2000). I have touched up 2 different Bobcat skidloaders. Wash and clean any grease and oil off well. In the rusty areas, use a wire brush on an angle grinder to get clean metal. Put on a coat of primer. I then used rattle cans from Bobcat. Your skid steer paint appears to be in good condition and I have touched up similar skid steers.
